Hi, Kevin. Was going to ask on FB Messenger but I thought to post here.
I am (still) working on my 78 Bronco, inspired by Das Bronco. Live the paintucation series which I bought on DVD.
Question: my bronco has some of the original factory blue paint on it. In cleaning it up, the solvent (even Windex) seems to remove some of the color. The towels will come up blue. If I just use water, it is ok. I plan to do a color change, but was not really wanting to take the truck down to bare metal. Would you advise that I go ahead and do that, or is it safe to primer and paint over the existing color?
Thanks for all you do.
Rod, The oxidation is w hat you’re able to wash off… clean it with soap and water and and an aggressive cleaner… you’ll be find with that as a pre prep for sanding. Hope this helps!!! Kevin.
